Greetings to all!
We are off to a busy start to this year! On August 4th we participated in the Hispanic Wellness Fair with the city of Fort Worth where 301 children were screened and received fluoride varnish. On October 4th, we held Sealants Across Texas at two area locations where we saw 76 children and placed 131 sealants and 33 received fluoride varnish!
At the end of September in Austin the TDHA Annual Session was held. Thanks to our delegates Ester Ball, Nancy Garnett, Cynthia Carson, Jennifer Reimer, Lisa Englehart, Deborah Manuel, Felicia Johnston, Cindy Crisler, Holly Lauck and Kristin Byam for representing GFW dental hygienists to our state association. Some of the most exciting news to come out of the meeting was that Ester Ball is now the President Elect of TDHA!! Congratulations! We look forward to getting behind Ester with our support as she prepares to take the reigns of TDHA! Cindy Crisler was installed as the current GFWDHS Trustee. We also give our thanks to Jennifer Reimer for serving in this position for the last two years.
